Why is it called the Night of the Mothers? Because in nearly all sacred traditions, the great goddess births her holy child at winter solstice on the darkest night of the year, bringing forth the new light to a new season.

The Great Sky Mother wraps her arms around us, embraces us, and holds us and our dreams within her belly until we are reborn in the new year. All cultures are drawn to this inspiring vision of the night sky with its promised return of the light that celebrates the birth of the divine child.  As we leave 2016 and herald in the changes of 2017, we usher in the light within us.

 Through journal practice we can focus in and bring this divine light into expression through us. Gather your 2016 journals, datebooks, checkbooks, calendars & spend a few of the dark hours of winter looking backward through the past year, gleaning its lessons and gifts, then carrying your intentions into 2016.  This is a great way to share, write, learn and gain new inspiration and wisdom.

 Bring a sack lunch and drink. Water, tea, and coffee and light snacks provided.

25th Annual Women of Wisdom Conference Remember Who You Are Honoring Ourselves We Heal Our World February 16 - 20, 2017  IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE Wednesday, Feb. 15th and Thursday, Feb. 16th  9:00am - 4:30 pm  North Seattle College Nicki Scully & Normandi Ellis  present a two day intensive pre-conference workshop:  Practical Applications of Egyptian Mysteries and Becoming an Oracle Early bird pricing through December 16th! Register here: Women of Wisdom Conference Registration Hieroglyphs, the medju neter or sacred symbols, were originally used when they first appeared in the pyramid of Unas.  Their knowledge gives us truth and wisdom that is still relevant in today’s world.  Given our new understanding of that ancient and sacred symbolic language, you will create your own cards, which together will create an oracle deck. You will practice reading your new cards with other students, after which we will combine the new oracle deck with the Anubis Oracle deck and do a reading for our country and the world. To accept responsibility for becoming an oracle, you will be asked to make a covenant with Ma’at, both a goddess and the concept of truth, harmony, cosmic order, justice and balance. You will also be given an empowerment that will awaken sensitivities that are either new or have atrophied in order to expand your intuitive capacities. This two-day seminar will be wrapped in teachings about creating your spiritual/metaphysical journal. This workshop is appropriate for anyone who is interested in healing or ministry work or is on a deep spiritual path that continues to unfold. Nicki Scully has been a healer and teacher of shamanism and the Egyptian Mysteries since 1983. Her published works include Alchemical Healing, Shamanic Mysteries of Egypt, The Anubis Oracle, and Becoming an Oracle. She is the founder of Shamanic Journeys, Ltd, which specializes in spiritual tours to sacred sites in Egypt, and she teaches and performs at conferences and festivals throughout the world. Her private sessions include Alchemical Healing, Anubis Oracle Readings, and shamanic consultations and she offers tele-seminars, and mentoring programs.
