Just Don't

I know it looks like precious moment of an initiate or priestess in a sacred temple, but I'm telling you Just Don't. Think about how many thousands of years ago this temple was built and for what reasons. Healing.... Think of all the prayers said and deities invoked. Your life is miniscule by comparision. If your prayers are spoken to broken stones whose names have been erased, what result are you expecting? If you touch a wall made of sandstone, it crumbles. Thousands of hands rubbing over an inscription erases it, even if it is granite. You think you're honoring the deities, but you're not. You are doing them a mortal blow to their true eternal life. And you are NOT proving your devotion, you are proving your ignorance. Your prayer get to the deities through vibration, not touch. The ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic sign on the wall tells it like it is. "True of Voice." Kheru Ma'at. It means the enchantress and priestess needs only her voice and her spirit to manifest the desires. If you take photos of the art, same thing. The light rays of your camera destroy the colors of the hieroglyphs. Over time, the color is stolen. Color contributed to sacred meaning. So please... Just Don't Do It. I do not know the priestess in this photograph. Thank Goddess, all I can see is her back. Bless her. It is ignorance and not reverence on display here. If you are traveling to Egypt with me, then you know. I have told you. If you are traveling with someone else, then you know now. Please tell those interlopers no matter how you dress or stand before an image of a goddess or a sacred shrine, this is not a photo op. Rather, it is a spiritual opportunity. Thank you for caring for the longevity of your Egyptian ancestors. Ankh em Ma'at
